The case for fewer things

Small runs are harder to sell and harder to plan. We keep doing it anyway, and this is the argument.

Two models in embroidered ready-to-wear

A design cut in a limited quantity sells out and does not come back. Commercially that is a bad idea: it caps the return on work already paid for.

It also means a piece you buy is not a piece a hundred other people at the same wedding are wearing, and that the embroidery budget went into one run rather than being spread thin across a reprint.

The visible consequence on this site is that sold-out sizes stay on the product page instead of disappearing. You should be able to see what existed, not only what is left.
